Bermuda End-to-End Seeks Applicants for Funds
The Bermuda End-to-End Charitable Trust (ETE) is looking for applicants from Bermuda’s registered charities who wish to be recipients of funds raised in the 2009 Catlin End-to-End event.
The Catlin End-to-End, Bermuda’s largest charity fund-raiser, puts more than 2,500 dedicated and generous participants on the roads, waterways and trails of the island to raise money for local charities every year. Each year, the outcome of this event supports five or more worthy causes that seek to improve the quality of life in Bermuda.
"The Catlin End-to-End team is geared up for 2009," says Bermuda End-to-End chair Anne Mello. "Our esteemed major sponsors are on board, once again committed to supporting this premier event. Our eager participants are ready to hit the roads to raise those pledge funds that help to make a positive difference in Bermuda. Our band of enthusiastic volunteers is set to serve. What we need now are some outstanding grant applications to win the support of this team in 2009."
Registered charities wishing to be considered for funding from the May 2, 2009 event must be nonsectarian and the funding must support work in the local community. ETE applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008. Electronic submissions are preferred via ete@logic.bm. In-person drop-off is also possible at Suite 544, 48 Par-la-Ville Road.
"We have a formal application process for charities wishing to be considered for our funds," Ms. Mello adds. "In the present economic climate, our attention will be focused on organisations that most effectively address current community need."
Any charity needing assistance with their ETE application should contact staff at the Centre on Philanthropy to set up an appointment for Wednesday, November 5, 2008. For an appointment or for further information, please call the Centre on Philanthropy on (441) 236-7706.
