Funds raised in our 2012 event will support Age Concern, The Adult Education Centre, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Open Airways, The Family Centre, St. John Ambulance, and YouthNet.

End-to-End raises $215,000 for charities

Another year of record participation
With over 2,000 participants, the 2006 Bermuda End-to-End charity event was a huge success. In celebration, on Thursday, June 15, 2006 the Bermuda End-to-End Committee will hold its 19th annual awards presentation at the Bank of Bermuda HSBC, 6th Floor Executive Offices. They are very pleased to award a total of $215,000 to eight participating charities.

  • WindReach Recreational Village
  • Women’s Resource Centre

Ann Mello, Chairperson of the Bermuda End-to-End Committee is quoted as saying, “We are very pleased with the total amount of funds raised, the record number of participants and the enthusiasm toward our Bermuda End-to-End goal of promoting wellness and the charitable spirit in Bermuda.”
On May 6th, a record number of cyclists, youth participants and families took park in the event. Today, the event’s top producers will be recognised as 2006 Gold Club members and receive well-deserved travel vouchers. As well, a number of other participants will be honoured for their strong efforts.
David Lang, Director and Secretary, Bank of Bermuda Foundation said, “We are delighted that so many youth participants and schools continued their support for this most worthwhile event that not only encourages physical activity and team sportsmanship but promotes philanthropy within Bermuda’s younger generation. We congratulate all of the schools, the teachers and the students for their participation and for recognising the importance of supporting this event that benefits our entire community.”

The Bermuda End-to-End Committee would like to thank all those who participated in this year’s event. Stay tuned as plans are underway for the 20th anniversary of the Bermuda End-to-End to be held on May 05, 2007.
