End-to-End schedules charity workshops

Partnering with The Centre on Philanthropy
The Centre on Philanthropy is partnering with Bermuda End-to-End to provide registered charities with information on how to apply to become a recipient of funds raised from the Bermuda End to End’s 20th anniversary event.
The workshops will be held on November 21 and will cover application deadlines and criteria. The sessions will be facilitated by Anne Mello, chairperson of Bermuda End-to-End and Pamela Barit Nolan, Executive Director of The Centre on Philanthropy.
“End to End is Bermuda’s largest charity event, and our mission is to support other local charities," said End-to-End's Anne Mello. “The people who walk, bike, and make their way over the waters of Bermuda in support of this event, combined with the help of our corporate sponsors, raise significant funds to assist worthy causes in the community. This year’s event will be held May 5, 2007, and our focus will be on charities promoting wellness.
“We have a formal application process which charities wishing to be considered recipients of End-to-End funds,” she added. “The purpose of the workshop is to assist charities in effectively completing their applications. We are also asking charities for their input with regard to how funds should be distributed.”
“The Centre is pleased to partner with Bermuda End-to-End, “said Centre Executive Director, Pam Barit Nolan. “This important annual event personifies the giving spirit that The Centre supports and promotes. We are pleased to assist in any way to ensure End-to-End’s success and to help celebrate their 20th anniversary!”
The workshop will be offered twice on November 21 in the Board Room at Charities House, 25 Point Finger Road in Paget. The first will be a lunch meeting at 12 noon until 1:30, and the second an after-work session to run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
To book workshop attendance, please email lindell@centreonphilanthropy.org or call The Centre at 236-7706. Applications for potential recipients can be found here.
