Equestrians saddle up for End-to-End

Emphasizing value of the Railway Trail

The Bermuda Hunt Club will ride again for the 2007 End-to-End!

Riders Joan Taplin, Harriott Richold and Heidi DeSilva stress that "it is important for us to have participation from the Bermuda Hunt Club to showcase how much the Bermuda Railway Trail access means to us with our horses".

This team starts at Trimingham Hill and ends in Somerset behind the Police Station. Each of their team enters the event, paying the entry fee, for their horse because the participant is actually the horse who wears the event number pinned to their saddle pad which coincidently is color coordinated with the chosen color for the official End-to-End tshirt worn by the rider. Even the wraps around the horse's fetlock's and shanks are color-matched to the End-to-End tshirts on the riders!
In 2005, Heidi DeSilva raised $2,300 in pledges to become a Gold Club member of top producing participants! Each of the 4-5 member equestrian team donates to the End-to-End chosen charities, making them a loyal End-to-End team and we appreciate their efforts.
If you see this team out on the trail on May 5th, give them a supportive wave.

Note: the Bermuda Hunt Club time their participation to clear the trail before the majority of walkers arrive.
