Health and technology at the End-to-End
Government's TechTime demonstrates cutting edge fitness technology
Technology plays a major part in fitness, from shoe design to equipment. The Ministry of The Environment, Telecommunications and E-Commerce will have a tent at the end of the event that will feature the latest in wrist-top computers that measure more than just your time.
You'll be able to compare the vitals of 14 different walkers participating in the End-to-End. Can you guess who is in their teens and who is in their 70s?
Personal trainers from Curves will be on hand to explain the “target zone” when exercising and the numerous approaches to staying fit. Stop by the tent and receive a delicious and nutritious organic energy bar from Clif Bar, Luna, or Z-Bar!
Government has a variety of fun and interesting TechWeek activities from May 7-11, 2007. Visit http://www.techtime.bm/ for more information.
If you would like to be one of our “wired walkers” and will be completing the entire End-to-End please email techtime@gov.bm. We are looking for 1 male and 1 female volunteer Wired Walkers in the following age categories: 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50-60, 60-70, and 70+ years of age.
Selected volunteers must complete the entire event while wearing a watch and chest band. Volunteers will be given an iPOD Shuffle upon completion and return of watch and equipment.
