Round Square students joining Youth Invasion
Visiting students fly in early for End-to-End
Every year many hundreds of students from local schools take part in the Bermuda End-to-End as part of the Bank of Bermuda Foundations’ Youth Invasion, raising money for local charities.
In 2007, a large group of international students will also join the event, in advance of the Young Round Square of the Americas Conference being held on the island from May 6-12.
The conference is being hosted by the Bermuda High School for Girls which is a member of Round Square, a world-wide association of more than 70 schools on five continents sharing unique and ambitious goals. Students attending Round Square schools make a strong commitment, beyond academic excellence, to personal development and responsibility. This is achieved by participating in community service, work projects, exchange programmes and adventuring.
The theme of this year’s Round Square conference is “Sustainable Development: Protecting Paradise, Ours and Yours”.
